It’s time to write your child a letter

Yes, its that time again, and your child would truly love to hear from you. That’s the recurring message we get from the Eden’s Child staff in Rwanda. Supporting a child financially improves their life profoundly, but a letter connects you personally and helps your child build a new relationship and experience the love of God in a unique way. Many sponsors have built lifelong friendships with their children that started with a letter. Twice a year, in January and July, we receive your letters and the Eden’s Child staff in Rwanda distribute them to the children.

Please read our communication guidelines below, and then download one of our templates at the bottom of the page or use your own format for your letter and then email the finished letter to sponsorship@edenschild.net. You can also handwrite the letter and send it to us by US Mail, or scan the letter and email it. Please note that the deadline for this campaign is July 31, 2025.

Guidelines:

As a sponsor, we ask you to provide comments and materials consistent with Christian values. We will not forward photographs or other materials depicting activities that:

Might be considered inappropriate in another culture
Promote lifestyle choices that we view as unhealthy or inconsistent with Biblical values or otherwise inappropriate for sponsored children
Might threaten the safety of the sponsored children in any way
For example, we will not forward materials that depict or describe the use of alcoholic beverages, tobacco, unlawful drugs and materials or activities that we regard as dangerous or unsafe. We will not forward materials or communications that advocate another religious worldview. In addition, we will not forward materials depicting persons dressed in immodest clothing or engaging in activities inconsistent with our ministry values and beliefs.
